Abstract

Recently EN24 Steel plays many application of manufacturing essential parts like shaft, axle and fasteners due to the low cost and very high tensile strength. Optimization welding of process is an essential parameter in experimental work which is greatly involved in mass production. In this experimental investigation carried out in friction welding machine and observe the Axial Shortening, Hardness, Microstructure and Temperature distribution. The basic parameter such as Heating Pressure, Heating Time,Upset Pressure and Upset Time using friction welding machine and optimized by Taguchi design of experiments and analyzed by ANOVA. © 2019 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
