Abstract

In modern era the worlds existing energy sources are focused on fossil fuels, which will deplete soon if we don't build technology that could use renewable fuels to supply electricity. In this a dual biodiesel combination, a mix of double varying forms of biodiesel, namely Lemongrass Biodiesel and Pongamia Biodiesel in diesel, been suggested in this experiment of measurement in a single cylinder DI diesel engine of different loads through mechanical properties test. And also piston is coated with base of Nickel chromium (NiCr - 100 (Micron), Top Piston Crown Aluminium Oxide (AL2O3- 150 (Microns) & Total Thermal Barrier Coating - 250 (Microns). The two biodiesels (Lemongrass Biodiesel and Pongamia Biodiesel) were selected in this study based on Specific Gravity, Kinematic Viscosity, Flash Point, Calorific Value, and Cetane number. Most experiments used the Lemongrass biodiesel and Pongamia biodiesel in single-cylinder VCR engine as separate biodiesel for the research. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
