Abstract

Energy demand is one of major concern in vapour compression refrigeration system .To overcome that problem and to consume less energy a new method of adopting nanolubricants is employed in this system .An experimental investigation has been performed with concentrating variables like Coefficient of performance, cooling capacity and compressor power consumption. This research is focused on hybrid nanolubricants which are prepared by mixing two different nanoparticles like ZnO and Sio<inf>2</inf> at various concentrations. Experiment is performed with 0.4 g/L of ZnO/ Sio<inf>2</inf> with 40 g of R600a refrigerant. And 0.6 g/L ZnO/ Sio<inf>2</inf> with 60 g of R600a refrigerant. By this investigation 42% improvement in Coefficient of performance and increase in cooling capacity and reduced compressor power consumption has been achieved in R600a with ZnO and Sio<inf>2</inf> hybrid nanolubricants vapour compression refrigeration system. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
