Abstract

We are very much familiar with water pumps, but pumps are not only meant to pump out water, there are various needs for pumps which pump out slurry as well as water in industries. In this proposed system we are going to redesign and fabricate the impeller of the water pump. For this we will utilize screw conveyor technology. The screw conveyor's design allows it to be employed in a variety of applications due to its simplicity. Screw conveyors are frequently used as agitators and blenders, as well as bottling system conveyors, in addition to carrying flakes, powder, grains, and granules. Mini screw conveyors are useful for conveying non-flowing materials like concrete, and larger augers are used in agricultural machinery like threshers and balers. In this project the fabricated hybrid screw pump will increase the flow rate compared to the conventional pumps for semi solids. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
