Abstract

This study investigated the performance and emissions of Kirloaskar TV1 diesel engine using Kusum biodiesel and Octanol blends. Blends with higher biodiesel content reduced CO, HC, and smoke emissions, with slight increases in NOx and changes in brake thermal efficiency and energy consumption. The KB20O10D70 blend achieved optimal performance-emission trade-off, demonstrating the benefits of Octanol as a combustion enhancer.
