Abstract

Hybrid Renewable Energy Systems (HRES) are optimized using the hunter-prey optimization algorithm (HPOA) in MATLAB without battery storage. Three scenarios—PV/Grid, WT/Grid, and Hybrid/Grid—are analyzed. PV/Grid is most economical with 94.8% renewable contribution. The Hybrid/Grid balances cost and resilience, while WT/Grid has higher costs. Optimized configurations demonstrate financial and environmental benefits for urban energy systems.
