Biomedical and robotics or wearable healthcare devices have a positive impact on diagnosing, treating, and managing patients. Benefits that one can derive from these technologies include enhanced operation precision, real-time health monitoring, and tailored treatments. However, they do give us complex ethical issues concerning privacy, security, and consent. It creates concern about how effective health monitoring acquires, stores, and uses sensitive health information. Protecting patient identity and ensuring the visibility and clarity of the provided data remain critical issues. Biomedical robots in the clinical environment need to raise issues of accountability and decision-making processes due to their use in clinical practice. The integration of autonomous robotic systems into medical decision-making and the potential replacement of human healthcare workers need to be regulated more tightly. Moreover, advances in these technologies may serve to amplify health inequalities due to inequity in access. Ethical issues should include the generation of these gadgets, their distribution, and emphasizing that there is no difference between races, for this invention addresses the issue of no receipt of gadgets. This chapter presents an analysis of the types of ethical issues and proposes a framework for the proper integration of biomedical robots and wearables in healthcare. The aim is to develop proper ethical values and regulatory frameworks that would ensure appropriate exploitation of the technologies in question to yield positive impacts on society while at the same time being ethical. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
