Abstract

A rapid, sensitive and specific RP-HPLC method involving UV detection was developed and validated for determination and quantification of Pseudoephedrine Hydrochloride, Cetirizine Dihydrochloride and Paracetamol. Chromatography was carried out on a pre-packed Cosmosil C8 (250*4.6) mm column using filtered and degassed mixture of Buffer and Acetonitrile in the ratio of 85:15 as mobile phase at a flow rate of 1.0ml/min and effluent was monitored at 215nm. The method was validated in terms of linearity, precision, accuracy, robustness, ruggedness and specificity. The method does require only 16 minutes as run time for analysis which prove the adoptability of the method for the routine quality control of the drug. © 2009, JGPT. © 2011 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
