The main objective of the study is to suppress the domination of harmonics in the grid and the inverter. Because these harmonics or noises has the ability to reduce the stability of the power system, so that it may cause some malfunction in electronic devices and power quality issues. In this project hybrid electric vehicles application is implemented for real time purposes. The main sources of harmonics are switching devices and other power electronic components. Our objective is to eliminate these dangerous harmonics with the help of filters. In this project, we have designed an Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI) filter that has an ability to eliminate hard harmonics and noises from the inverter and the grid. The output voltage from the inverter is fed into the network via long transmission lines, this, in turn, causes some issues like corona and electromagnetic interference in the in the transmission line. So these kinds of the technical problems are analyzed, and a perfect EMI filter is designed, and the output is simulated using the Mat Lab Simulink model. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
