Abstract

Multilevel inverter plays a vital role to deliver a quality of power to the utility side. It is mainly used to produce a good quality of output power without any harmonics content present in it. They are mainly used in the operation of high energy and high voltage conditions. The inverter is directly connected to the grid as a Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) is used to minimize quality of power and maintain the grid voltage within the desirable limit. In this paper, a single phase cross-switched multi level inverters is used to reduce switching devices circuit without using high voltage switches. The proportional resonance controller (PR) is used to control the inverter circuit. The results are carried out using ATMEGA 328 IC’s, and the results are discussed. © 2019 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
