This paper represents the real-time power observing & control using Distributed Control System (DCS) technology which describes the controlling operations like on-off performed by software and also via the DCS. The hardware components include the current sensors, electronic contactor & DCS. The current sensor imparts the sign to the electronic controller to trip the circuit if the over-burdening condition happens. The SIMIT software is used to build the logic that can be implemented in the real-time application and the SIMATIC PCS7 software is used to implement the logic that is done by the SIMIT where the DCS is able to communicate with the hardware. The operations performed by the DCS are done from a remote location. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
