This paper represents the real-time power observing & control using Distributed Control System (DCS) technology which describes the controlling operations like on-off performed by software and also via the DCS. The hardware components include the current sensors, electronic contactor & DCS. The current sensor imparts the sign to the electronic controller to trip the circuit if the over-burdening condition happens. The SIMIT software is used to build the logic that can be implemented in the real-time application and the SIMATIC PCS7 software is used to implement the logic that is done by the SIMIT where the DCS is able to communicate with the hardware.
