Abstract

Sea surface temperature (SST) is a primary factor for understanding, quantifying, and predicting marine resources. The variability of SST in coastal waters of the Gulf of Manner (GOM) has increased, affecting marine habitats and coastal human populations. Using MODIS satellite images from 2000–2020, long-term changes and spatial variation of SST over GOM were analyzed. This study helps predict potential fishing zones and primary productivity, providing regional solutions for coastal resource management.
