Abstract

Complex simulation models are an important tool in decision-making. This work presents experimental designs to efficiently explore models with up to 22 variables in as few as 129 runs, blending orthogonal Latin hypercube and uniform patterns to create space-filling, nearly orthogonal designs. Multiple metrics assess candidate designs, which can be permuted and appended to improve orthogonality and space-filling. Two alternative surfaces are investigated using these designs.
