Abstract

Study on hyperglycemia and acidosis effects on brain catecholamine levels. Experimentally induced hyperglycemia and ammonium chloride-induced acidosis altered dopamine, norepinephrine, and epinephrine levels in specific brain regions. Sodium acetoacetate-induced acidosis showed no significant changes. Findings correlate with diabetic conditions. © 2017 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
