Abstract

Aqueous and alcoholic extracts of Caralluma attenuata (100 mg/kg) evaluated for hypoglycemic effect in normal and alloxan-induced diabetic rats. Blood glucose significantly reduced in normal rats (84.5 → 68.5 mg/dl; 82.6 → 67.4 mg/dl) and diabetic rats (316 → 162 mg/dl; 324 → 150 mg/dl) within 3 h. © 2004 The Haworth Press, Inc. © 2021 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
