Abstract

Effect of sesame oil in hypertensive diabetics on atenolol and glibenclamide therapy. 45-day substitution lowered BP, plasma glucose, HbA1c, TC, LDL-C, TG; improved antioxidant enzyme activities. Switching back to other oils reversed effects. Substitution has additive benefits in lowering BP and plasma glucose. © Mary Ann Liebert, Inc. © 2011 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
