Abstract

Retrospective analysis of 173 deliberate self-harm (DSH) cases in Nepal (2002–2005). Majority female (over two-thirds); 60% aged 15–24 years. Poisoning most common method (89.6%), mostly organophosphates. Cases peaked May–July, with increasing trend over 3 years.
