Abstract

The marginal fit of fixed partial dentures (FPDs) affects periodontal health and prosthesis durability. This study evaluated marginal accuracy of four-unit FPDs fabricated using Ni-Cr and Cr-Co alloys with induction and centrifugal casting techniques. Forty samples were assessed. Cr-Co alloys showed minimal marginal discrepancy compared to Ni-Cr. Soldered FPDs showed reduced marginal discrepancy compared to cast FPDs. © Indian Prosthodontic Society 2013. © 2014 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
