Abstract

Heat balance in a domestic pressure cooker was studied with insulated and non-insulated conditions at various water levels (12.5%, 25%, 37.5%, 46.25%). Insulation increased heat input but improved utilization at higher water volumes. Maximum 30% of total heat was utilized at 46.25% volume. © 2010 by ASME. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
