Abstract

Clinical study compared cervical lymph node detection via ultrasonogram (USG) vs. palpation in 10 head and neck cancer patients. USG demonstrated higher sensitivity (85.7%), specificity (90%), and accuracy (87.5%) compared to palpation, providing a reliable, non-invasive, cost-effective screening tool for metastatic nodes. © 2012 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
