Abstract
This paper presents a hardware design of smart sensors for brain-machine interface to assist physically challenged people. EEG, eyeball, and eye-blink bio-signals were acquired, filtered via band-pass filters, and transmitted wirelessly. The system allows partially paralyzed patients to control devices for daily activities. Validation using LabVIEW showed approximately 90% design accuracy. © 2011 IEEE. © 2011 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
