Abstract

This case report discusses a young patient with recurrent pneumonitis and hemoptysis diagnosed with a typical central bronchial carcinoid. CECT imaging revealed an intensely enhancing endobronchial nodule, later confirmed by histopathology. Central bronchial carcinoids are uncommon, slow-growing neuroendocrine tumors with variable histology. © 2012 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
