Abstract
Streptomyces cacaoi subsp. cacaoi was isolated from a scalp infection in Pondicherry, India. Phenotypic tests identified it as Streptomyces, and 16S rRNA sequencing confirmed the species, aiding tracking of this emerging pathogen. © 2012 American Society for Microbiology. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
