Abstract

This in vitro study analyzed the contribution of cancellous and endosteal surfaces of cortical bone to trabecular patterns in IOPA radiographs of 60 desiccated mandibles. Radiographs before and after cancellous bone removal showed strong correlation (Gamma 0.78). Both cortical and cancellous surfaces significantly influenced trabecular pattern density. © 2021 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
