Abstract

Joint Resource Management (JMR) in heterogeneous networks enables simultaneous bandwidth allocation from multiple networks using Concurrent Multipath Transfer (CMT). The proposed modified mobile CMT (m2CMT) avoids receiver buffer blocking by introducing Stream Manager, Handoff Manager, and Link Status Indicator (LSI), improving throughput and reducing data loss during handoffs. © 2012 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
