Abstract

A semi-autonomous electronic drip irrigation system is proposed using wireless RF power supply for sensors and water drip nodes, allowing self-sustained operation and AD-HOC network extensibility. New sensors can be added without firmware modifications. Controller, valves, and nodes use low-power devices and solar energy, enabling fully self-sustained irrigation without human intervention. © 2012 IEEE. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
