Abstract
This descriptive study compared 200 FNAC cases of neck swellings from two regions in southern India. Thyroid lesions were most common in both regions, followed by lymphadenitis. Metastatic lesions were more frequent than primary malignancies in Salem due to an older population. FNAC proved to be a safe, cost-effective, and accurate diagnostic method.
