Abstract

Minor salivary gland tumors (MSGTs) are rare neoplasms with variable histopathology, commonly occurring in the palate. In a survey of 1,020 biopsy reports, 30 MSGTs were identified—26.67% benign and 73.33% malignant. Mucoepidermoid carcinoma was the most common tumor (15 cases), followed by pleomorphic adenoma (7) and adenoid cystic carcinoma (6). The palate was the most common site. Malignant MSGTs predominated in this study, consistent with reports from other regions.
