Abstract

Methanolic extracts of Hugonia mystax leaves and stem bark were tested for cytotoxicity against HeLa, MCF-7, and A-549 human cancer cell lines and compared with normal Vero cells using MTT assay. Extracts exhibited selective cytotoxicity, with CTC50 values indicating feasible anticancer potential of leaf and bark extracts. © 2012 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
