Abstract
In a cross-sectional study of 400 subjects categorized into high BMI (≥25) and normal BMI (<25), lipid profiles were compared. Total cholesterol, LDL, VLDL and triglycerides were significantly higher in the high-BMI group, while HDL showed no significant difference. The study concludes that high BMI is strongly associated with dyslipidemia, highlighting the need for community-based preventive programs.
