Abstract

This study presents a universal load correction factor applied in a double Wiebe function model, along with a linear late combustion model and two-zone concept, to predict combustion heat release rate, cylinder pressure, mean cylinder temperature, and concentration variations in a direct injection diesel engine. The simulation closely matches experimental results and offers rapid, economical performance and emission prediction. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
