Abstract

This paper proposes a prototype solar-powered vehicle using Brushless Permanent Magnet DC motor and microprocessor-based controller. Solar panels on the vehicle roof convert sunlight to electrical energy via photovoltaic cells. The approach offers an experimental electric vehicle powered entirely by solar energy. © 2012 IEEE. © 2013 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
