Abstract
Palm Oil Methyl Ester (PAM) blends with diesel (20% PAM + 80% Diesel) and with an additive (10% Dimethoxymethane) were tested in a CI engine. The additive reduced CO emissions and opacity while slightly reducing NOx increase typical with biodiesel. Brake thermal efficiency improved over plain biodiesel blends and suggests its suitability as diesel alternative. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
