Abstract

This study investigated microalbuminuria and dyslipidaemia in premenopausal PCOD patients compared with healthy controls. Forty PCOD patients and 40 matched controls were tested for biochemical and urinary markers. Results showed significantly higher prevalence of microalbuminuria, impaired lipid profile, and elevated metabolic risk factors in the PCOD group. Routine screening is recommended to prevent cardiovascular complications. © 2018 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
