Maxillofacial defects severely impact oral health-related quality of life (OHRQoL). This study evaluated the effect of definitive obturator prostheses in 25 patients with acquired maxillary defects. OHRQoL was assessed using OHIP-Edent-19 and Obturator Functioning Scale after 2 weeks and 3 months. Significant improvements were seen in functional, physical, psychological, and social domains, with statistical significance (p = 0.0005). Conclusion: Obturator prostheses positively influence OHRQoL. © 2018 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
