This paper aims at creation of a secured online voting system providing biometric security. In online voting system people can cast their vote through internet from anywhere. Voters with a mobile computer installed with biometric device can cast their votes by simply sitting in their home. Online AADHAR based voting system can ensure the authenticity of voters and to avoid fake votes. In this system the main problem we face is challenged (fake) votes, this issue we can be address by implementing biometric in voting system. As the majority of the citizen having the AADHAR card, which consist of fingerprint pattern along with other unique biometric and other details as well, so it is easy for the sensor to be synchronised with AADHAR database. Proposed system also helps to reduce the huge financial commitment for the Government of India for conducting the elections. By introducing this system the long queues in front of polling stations can be avoided. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
