Abstract

The technology up-gradation in the field of embedded automation takes the industrial substation automation into next level. IoT architecture assists the embedded hardware sensor networks which also empowers to gather and analytics information. The IoT architecture has developed by the help of WIFI device. The substation had been continuously monitored by Hall Effect sensor, potential transformer then other fault recognizing circuitry. Arduino micro controller has played master role in this concept which collect the data from sensors and sent it to Wi-Fi device. The collected data could be sent to thingspeak.com URL. Thing speak server integrates both web service and mobile android application through different API keys and also this server can able to save the data into XML, JSON and CV format. This information further used for predicting load demand, energy consumption, fault recovery time and to estimate the substation electrical equipment’s life time. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
