Abstract

This study presents Single Point Incremental Forming (SPIF) of AA5052 aluminum sheets (1.5 mm thick) to analyze surface roughness and wall angle. Process parameters included feed rate, step depth, spindle speed, and three tool diameters. A pyramid-shaped component was used with L9 orthogonal array. Grey Relational Analysis and Taguchi method identified tool diameter and spindle speed as most influential on surface roughness and wall angle. Confirmation runs improved grey relational grade by 6.3%. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
