Abstract

Textile fabric materials were used to create a patch antenna for breast tumor detection. Patch strips were printed on cotton and polyester fabrics. The Agilent (N99917A) microwave analyzer measured a resonant frequency of 5.42 GHz. The modules showed no harmful radiation to humans and were able to detect tumor depth in a breast phantom model. Observations confirmed the feasibility and safety of textile-based modules for biomedical applications. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
