Abstract

Psoriasis requires carefully designed therapy for sustained remission. This study compared Narrow Band-UVB (NB-UVB) alone versus NB-UVB combined with topical calcipotriol in 100 chronic plaque psoriasis patients (<20% BSA). Group A (NB-UVB) had mean baseline PASI 12.1 and mean 12-week PASI 2.54 (79% reduction). 31 patients showed good response, 13 >70% clearance. The combination group showed significantly better PASI reduction at 4, 8, and 12 weeks (p<0.05). Further studies with more patients are required to confirm efficacy and safety of NB-UVB alone and in combination with calcipotriol. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
