Abstract

This study investigates the anti-invasive effects of a rhenium(I)-diselenoether (Re-diSe) compound on MDA-MB231 triple-negative breast cancer cells. Using adhesion, migration, and transwell invasion assays, Re-diSe was effective at low concentrations (5–10 μM), with 120 h exposure showing the greatest reduction in invasion. Re-diSe also influenced MMP-2 levels in the cell medium, indicating its potential as a therapeutic agent to inhibit cancer cell invasion and metastasis.
