Abstract

Inadequate hand hygiene is a major contributor to hospital-acquired infections. This study assessed hand hygiene knowledge among 110 final-year medical undergraduates using a questionnaire based on 2009 WHO guidelines. Results indicated moderate knowledge in the majority, with 16.4% achieving good knowledge (≥75%), 70.9% moderate (50–74%), and 12.7% below 50%. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
