Hyperlipidemia and hypercholesterolemia are interrelated disorders raising cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Lannea coramandelica, a native plant in India, contains abundant polyphenols, flavonoids, and antioxidants. Extracts of Lannea coramandelica were tested for hyperlipidemia control at a dose of 500 mg/kg, showing significant lipid-lowering and antioxidant effects. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
