Abstract

This study develops an image sensing method integrated with immunochromatic flow-through (ICT) tests for rapid tuberculosis (TB) detection. Using datasets of colorimetric images and feedforward neural networks (FNN), the approach achieved ~82% overall accuracy, 87% sensitivity, 82% specificity, and 0.84 AUC score. The method improves the reliability of TB detection compared to visual inspection, providing real-time reporting and reducing errors from color ambiguity.
