This paper investigates two non-edible vegetable oils (soapnut and candlenut). Fossil fuel depletion necessitates environmentally friendly alternatives. Key issues in selecting vegetable oils over diesel include viscosity, oxidation stability (OS), and cold filter plugging point (CFPP). Oils were transesterified and combined in a fixed proportion (60% soapnut methyl ester, 40% candlenut methyl ester). Properties were measured, and blends were mixed with diesel as B20 and B40 to estimate performance and emission limits. © 2020 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
