Abstract

Dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP) is a benign but locally aggressive skin tumor originating from fibroblasts. Clinically, it can resemble harmless conditions like hypertrophic scars or acne, without definitive symptoms. A 32-year-old woman presented with a 2-month lesion on the neck. Histopathology confirmed DFSP, and she underwent surgical excision with negative margins. After five months, the lesion recurred, requiring revision surgery with adjuvant radiotherapy. Factors contributing to recurrence are discussed. DFSP is best managed in multidisciplinary clinics with long-term surveillance.
