Abstract

Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnONPs) were biosynthesized using Streptomyces spp., characterized spectroscopically, and tested for biomedical properties. ZnONPs were spherical (51–65 nm), confirmed by XRD and UV-Vis. They exhibited antimicrobial activity against E. coli and Candida fructus, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antibiofilm effects, with significant IC50 values. The study demonstrates that actinobacterium-mediated ZnONPs have biomedical potential for therapeutic applications. © 2021 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
