Abstract

This study proposes a Seagull Optimization-based unequal clustering (SGOBUC) technique for wireless sensor networks (WSN) to enhance energy efficiency and address hot spot problems. Unequal clusters are formed to balance energy dissipation. The SGOBUC algorithm models seagull migration and attack behavior mathematically to optimize cluster formation. Simulation results demonstrate superior energy efficiency compared to existing techniques. © 2021 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
