Abstract

Diesel engine performance and emissions are influenced by fuel injection nozzle design. This study evaluates lemongrass biodiesel (LGB B20) in three- and five-hole nozzles under various loads. Peak heat release increased by 12.5% for multi-hole nozzles. Brake thermal efficiency improved with five-hole nozzles; HC, CO, and smoke emissions decreased, while NOx emissions increased. © 2022 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
