Abstract

Drilling glass fiber/nano granite powder reinforced epoxy composites causes matrix cracking, fibre damage, surface roughness, delamination, and thermal deterioration. Delamination can be reduced by optimizing drill bit type, speed, and feed rate. Taguchi L9 arrays and ANOVA are used to analyze the effects of drilling parameters. High spindle speeds and bronze oxide-coated drill bits improve hole quality and are key factors influencing performance. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
